WHAT'S NEW AT PRIME URGENT CARE

How a Pearland Urgent Care Center Decreased Patient Wait Times

When a patient is sick or injured, the last thing he or she wants to do is have to wait in a crowded, stuffy lobby to be seen by a doctor. Our Pearland urgent care center, Prime Urgent Care, has created a check-in system that will eliminate long wait times to see a doctor.

The Online Check-In System

Our medical center uses an online check-in system that allows patients to reserve a spot to see one of our doctors. This system eliminates the need to come to our facility, check in, and sit around waiting for a doctor.

Unlike an appointment where the patient has a set time to see a doctor, this system places the patient on a list – very similar to a waiting list. When the doctor is available, the patient will be called and must arrive at our medical center as soon as possible.

How the Online Check-In System Works

The online check-in system is easy and convenient for patients to use. A patient interested in visiting our Pearland urgent care center will visit our website and fill out a brief form.

The first question asked on our online check-in form is in regards to how the patient will pay for their services. If the patient is paying with insurance, we will run their insurance through our system. If they are self-paying, the patient will have to pay at the time of service.

After filling out the answer to how services will be paid, the patient will be directed to a brief form that asks important personal information. Information we require patients to provide include their name, address, phone number, and email address.

Once our low cost urgent care center receives all filled out forms, a member of our staff will call the patient up. This phone call is used to verify information and provide the patient with an approximate wait time.

When Should Online Check-In Be Used?

The online check-in system is ideal for reducing patient wait times, but it should not be used for certain services. Patients that are experiencing chest pain, breathing problems, uncontrolled bleeding, or any other emergency should call 9-1-1. We are also unable to use the online check-in for flu shots, physicals, and DOT or non-DOT urine collections.

Avoid having to wait in a lobby to be seen by a doctor for a minor cold or injury. Our Pearland urgent care center can reduce wait times by allowing patients to use our online check-in system.
