Are you an Emergency Room?
We are not an emergency room, but we do provide services late into the evening and on weekends. Since we bill your insurance company as an urgent care, we are less expensive than a comparable emergency room visit. Our self pay rates are also lower than comparable Emergency Room visits.
What is the difference between an Urgent Care and Emergency Room?
Emergency Rooms provide more services compared to an urgent care, and are open 24 hours a day. If your illness can be treated in an Urgent Care, you will receive high quality care faster than the Emergency Room, and at a lower cost.
Are you in network?
Yes, we are in network with most major insurance providers. Please call us if you do not see your insurance carrier listed on our insurance web page.
What if I do not have insurance?
We accept self pay patients and we charge some of the lowest rates in the Houston area for self pay x-rays. Call us or come in for self pay rates for your particular illness.
Will my Family Doctor or child’s Pediatrician get notified of my visit?
If you decide that you want us to share the details of your visit with your family doctor/pediatrician, we will send over a copy of your visit to your physician, at no charge to you. You will need to identify your physician, and sign a release authorizing Prime Urgent Care to share your information with the physician you have specified.
Can I get a copy of my medical record?
Please call us if you would like a copy of your medical records. Please note that a $25 processing fee will apply and that identification will be requested at the time of pickup to ensure that only authorized personnel are collecting your medical records. For no charge we will send you an electronic copy of your medical records through our secure portal.
Are you affiliated with any Hospitals or Family Practice Groups?
We are a stand alone Urgent Care center owned by a physician, operating as a family owned business. We work with our local community of pharmacies, primary care practice, specialists, imaging centers, and hospitals to ensure that our patients receive the best quality care.
